(BDT) - Từ năm 2019 đến nay, UBND huyện Sa Thầy phối hợp với Sở Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch triển khai Đề án “Làng truyền thống của các DTTS trên địa bàn tỉnh”, trong đó chọn làng Bar Gốc, xã Sa Sơn, huyện Sa Thầy (Kon Tum) làm thí điểm.

Sự tích làng Bar Gốc

Chúng tôi đến thăm làng Bar Gốc khi ráng chiều bắt đầu ngả sang màu vàng sẫm. Đây là ngôi làng của người dân tộc Gia Rai (nhánh Aráp) nằm dưới chân núi Chư Nang Brai của Vườn Quốc gia Chư Mom Ray với tiềm năng về đa dạng sinh học, nhiều thác nước, hang động, đỉnh núi, khu bãi thú, đồng cỏ và những khu rừng hoang sơ đẹp như những bức tranh thủy mặc. Đặc biệt, địa hình của làng bằng phẳng, đường giao thông thuận lợi, người dân có ý thức trong việc giữ gìn và phát huy bản sắc văn hóa dân tộc.
